Today, we have decided to review one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in Carlsbad. Its name is Lola's. It is located in an up-and-coming neighborhood near Downtown Carlsbad. Lola's 7 Up Market was founded in 1943 by Lola. In 1984, the market started selling delicious Mexican food. Today it is run by descendants of Lola. Their specialty is their classic sodas including 7 Up. We got different things, both marvelous. I got a cheesy quesadilla and a side of their amazing Spanish rice. The quesadilla was very cheesy and delicious. The rice was warm and tangy with a hint of spice. Both of the items were very rich and filled with flavor. It was absolutely incredible. Abby got a classic Bean and Cheese burrito. She said that the tortilla was evenly blended with the beans and cheese, and the burrito itself was just about the size of her head! It was delish! The only negative was that it was so crowded and the size of the restaurant was very small. I would recommend Lola's if you love Mexican food and need to pick up some cat food or laundry detergent (Lola's carries lots of random, fun items + a candy bar)! Overall we would give Lola's a B+ rating!
